Brilliant result, Daggers have a very good record at home. Squeaky bum time second half, only just recovered from the stress. What can you say? Top of the league at the end 2012, not too shabby. Credit and thanks to all involved.

Only criticism would be the subs, they were quickly followed by opposition goals at Rotherham and today. Rob Taylor gave the ball away with ten seconds remaining today and they went on to have one last chance. Is Rob Taylor really the player you want seeing a game out?

 

Sorry to be critical, I just really didn't need a heart in mouth finish to this one after cruising all second half!

 

On the whole, brilliant win, top of the league, we just need to learn how to beat a half decent side at home again because we can't rely on excellent away wins all season. I'd pack the midfield like the Rotherham game for the next two home games to ensure we're in control from start to finish. Too many times we've been over ran on the counter-attack against half decent sides at home. Control the midfield, protect the defense and win the game to nil.

 

Spot on, RFC. Midfield is the key for me, especially on the wide expanses of Vale Park. If Lofty's fit, I'd revert to the Rotherham formation, so we don't give Fleetwood even a sniff. They have a great away record, scoring 15 and conceding only 9 in 11 games, so we need to be at our best. I'm sure we can score, no doubt, but we need to keep them well and truly out of the game. Don't think Micky will change it, though. Let's hope it works at home as well as away on a much tighter pitch.

Great result vale but why oh why do we always make hard work of getting a result . Now please do not go and screw everything up at home now on Tuesday . It would be nice to now go and see a quality performance and a tough fleetwood side .
