Clayton McDonald

I know quite a few people who won't go to matches anymore because of the thick scum that support us and people defending the Clayton song are either being willfully obtuse or of sub normal intelligence. A woman was raped. The Clayton song is sang in reference to/ as a result of that woman being raped. And people think it's 'funny' or 'banter'?

I actually don't give a toss if Clayton hates the song and it puts him off his game, or if he loves it and it drives him on. I don't need to decide whether something is offensive by checking Clayton McDonald's moral compass.

This pathetic and laughable arguement that if you don't go along with offensive rubbish like the CMcD song, then you must be in favour of just sitting in silence all match, is ridiculous too. The best atmosphere I've known at Vale Park was in the mid nineties; there was no need to sing offensive songs, just a load of people singing their hearts out for the Vale.

I would consider this if you enjoy singing it. If you had consensual sex with a woman after a night out. And then for what ever reason she accused you of rape. And after a lengthy and humiliating court case you were eventually found to be innocent to the relief of you, your friends and family who have been to hell and back, would you then appreciate it if every time you go to work or walk down the street people sing "you shag who you want". If the answer is yes I'm afraid your moral compass is a long way off.

If I was a pro footballer I would expect it and get on with it. If it bothered him he would say something or quit the game.

"He would quit the game" well that's brilliant isn't it. On that basis you would sing it to him until he quit if it was that he didn't like people singing about his recent case?

What a ridiculous comment. If he felt that way and didn't want it to be sung I'm sure he would say something or at least get Adams to say something in the press. He obviously doesn't mind because nothing has been said and his form has been excellent.

If you don't like it then don't sing it.
