Parissienne Walkways - Gary Moore

Lazy - Deep Purple (Ritchie Blackmore)

Sultans of Swing - Dire Straits (Mark Knopfler)

There are many others that I love, but these are my favourite - and possibly the three guitarists that inspire me when I pick up my own

I love these 3 solos. Yes, I'm sure there are better out there but the memories they bring back are v powerful.

Rush - La Villa Strangiato (Alex Lifeson)

Eagles - Hotel California (Don Felder)

Rainbow - Eyes Of The World (Richie Blackmore)

The first and last brought back some great memories. Hemispheres was one of the first albums that I got and Eyes of the World was for me the stand out track on Down to Earth

Yes, Johnny. Have to agree about the Rainbow track. I'm a little biased with the Rush one as they are my fave band but music is so emotive, quite unique to any other media in my opinion.

Top man... Totally agree about Rush... Have tickets for May next year for London, Manchester and Sheffield which will be the 58th, 59th and 60th time I will have seen them since the first time in 1977!

Looking forward to seeing Rush myself again in Helsinki in June. Seen them in the UK, Toronto, Las Vegas and this is the third time in Helsinki. First time were the Stafford Bingley Hall gigs of 1979. Absolutely magical nights I will never forget. My favourite group by some distance and Alex Lifeson for me is as good a soloist as any of the top rock guitarists.
