The Paul Wildes to do list

Wildes seems to love going on about the land and buildings surrounding the stadium.

The pitches belonging to us and some of the land just near dimensions are absolutely prime to build a training facility like Barnet have with The Hive. Built with the Council on the premise of being Publically accessible..everybody wins and it would be a terrific source of commercial income that Wildes keeps going on about.

i didnt know the pitches belong to us, thought it was a long term loan of the land from council, any one correct me on this?

I've long thought the Paddock and Family Stands should be rebuilt a bit nearer the pitch and much steeper; The ground would look better and the land behind the paddock/FS would then be open for commercial opportunities like a hotel people keep harping on about.

And finish that ****** Lorne Street.

If you come across this thread Paul I have come up with a list of things that you need to do once the take over is rubber stamped.

1. Get Micky Adams signed up on a long term contract (5-10 years would do nicely).

2. Get key players signed up on long term contracts.

3. Strengthen the current playing squad with a new striker, a midfield playmaker and a midfield defensive player. Adding these three players will ensure promotion this season

4. Remove the goal bonus from Tom Pope's contract as its costing the club a fortune.

5. Sort the stadium catering facilities out as they are currently the worst in the country.

6. Sort the stadium toilets out as they are currently the worst in the country.

7. Finish off the Lorne Street stand

8. Sort out the Family Stand as its a disgrace.

9. Knock down Tommy Cheadles and replace.

10. Name a stand the John Rudge Stand to finally recognise his achievements.

I'd add to that bulldoze the railway and family stand building a new two tier stand same capacity as paddick close to the pitch, obviously he is after a hotel at vp too.

Another I would add is please get rid of the faded peach seats and re kit vale park with shiny black seats with either white or amber writing.

1) Ten years? A year or two more more like. As sandyford says, get Page signed up longer term

2) Yep

3) Striker, yes, centre mid we're okay (as today showed). A flexible defender with pace, of the Lee Collins type, and a specialist left back to free up Loft as an option in midfield.

4) Seems to be working though.

5) Are they that bad? I thought they were better this season than last. For sure make sure we don't run out of stuff, this is lost income.

6) Sod the toilets. Why does everyone have an obsession with the toilets? A game lasts two hours. Cross your legs if you don't like them

7) We don't need the extra seats but it does look a mess.

8) Agreed.

9) Never been in so don't know.

10) When he quits Stoke, yes.

For me, online ticketing and a slightly lower walk up price option in some areas of the ground. Do something with the Robbie Williams suite, so it generates income. Increase sponsorship revenue, which shouldn't be hard because I doubt we have any to speak of at the moment.

Offer Boslem Boy a top middle management position as a Port Vale advisor on his team of experts @ £100,000 pa, with company car, pension, a busty, leggy brunette as a secretary & 16 weeks holiday all expenses paid every 6 months.

And that still makes me considerable cheaper than Perry Deakin:laugh::laugh::laugh:

I think for the fans keeping the product good on the pitch is important.

Then online ticketing, increasing use of the existing resources at the club. Once the club is near capacity on the resource uses, then look to make more improvements.

The development of the ground with hotel, bar, shop etc. would be nice and would improve catering and toilets in the ground as well.

Dont touch the ground, sort the team out first.

Spot on!Look whats happened since Lorne Street was started,we went down the leagues!!!The point about faded seats could be solved by the continued great performances-bums sitting on them, through better attendances, will hide em:laugh:
