Shambles.

The club.. From top to bottom.

I see that the new CEO has now come on here and i suspect he gets his tin hat.

It isnt your fault Mr. Deakin but you are now prime target as the only clubs representitive on here.... I said that kind of loosely because its common fact that our good old director Mr. Oliver likes to play around with many user names!!! Pathetic.

The club is going nowhere under Bill Bratt and co and that includes you Mr. Deakin. The supporters have had enough.

Was the Stoke Audi sponsorship really newsworthy? 1000 pounds? Get real.

Mr Deakin and co, bridges have been burnt to the point of no return and ultimately you can congratulate Mr. Bratt for this.

Now, i touched on it in another thread but since the departure of Micky Adams the amount of "incidents" is unreal.

Was Micky the only disciplinarian at the club????

For 16 months i loved the club under Micky, yes, i wanted the board out still but he was a figure that not only did they hide behind but also the fans decided to concentrate on the football.

What he inherited and what he did with that side until ultimately he **** on us, (Id still have him back mind) was a superb effort.

In his days i really felt proud to be a Vale fan.

Now lets name the "incidents". Im sure one or two words will suffice. You will all know what im on about.

Jim Gannon, Player revolt, Glenn Oliver, Bill Bratt, Shareholders letter, 13k, Geoff Horsfield, Mark Grew, Gary Roberts, Player revolt, Busgate, Players arrested, Exodus, Accrington, Black and Gold, Mo Chaudry, Peter Jackson talking, Graham Mudie, Mark Simms.... Any more??

The latest incident being the players that have been arrested which in my opinion is unacceptable.

Whether you are anti board like many on here and many i know personally or you are pro board like some on here and again some i know personally, i doubt anyone can deny the fact that us poor fans, LOYAL fans, have been shat on from a great height again this season.

From a personal standpoint im disgusted with every aspect of our club at the minute and it is close to becoming irrepairable.

Mr. Deakin.... I appreciate you coming on here and welcome your new ideas, that is unless you were responsible for the latest shambles in the "Guess the manager" competition.

I suspect that you are onto a loser Mr. Deakin in the fact that you dont really know what you have got yourself in for.

Port Vale Football Club is in turmoil. Big time.

One disaster and incident after another and all us supporters want, well me anyway, is pride, passion and honesty from the players right to the top, which for me is the board of directors and the Chairman.

We have none of that at the moment from anyone.

The players tell me that they are determined to get promoted and then 2 of them get arrested!!

The manager, or at least the assistant manager tells the supporters the lads are "up for it" and then they come on the pitch and cannot beat a toss Southend side.

The board of directors, the majority of which are left dont promise anything because they cannot. They are just happy to be a director of Port Vale. Id be very interested to see what the likes of Mr.Oliver has contributed in the last few years.

The Chairman.... Well what can you say about that man? Broken promise after broken promise. Ive lost track the amount of times hes said "I will walk away" ..... Fact is he wont. "We are actively seeking investment"...... You are talking crap Bill and have done for the majority of the last 8 years.

Broken promise after broken promise to supporters who, quite frankly, deserve better... A hell of a lot better.

Mr Deakin, if you read this i hope it registers. Although living abroad i have flew over to see 15 games this season with Morecambe and Barnet to come (Flights already booked) but i doubt i will bother as it just gets me angry and upset with the state that my football club is in.

Its a damn ****ing shambles from top to bottom. Every aspect of the club. Even the supporters argue with one another on the terraces!!

What a crying shame. :(

Spunk. After 40 years following the Vale, YOU deserve my 100% support,

Port Vale Football Club dont. It breaks my heart to feel the way i do but i can honestly say the club is an embarrasement. We were a poor club and down and out during the seventies but i feel we still had some pride as supporters. How Micky Adams gave us what he did i will never know but pride returned on the pitch at least for a few months. The players have so much to answer for, on and off the pitch. The board cannot answer for anything , its far too late for them now. Everything stems from the top and at the top we are a shambles , a disgrace. They have to move over or i honestly fear for our club. I hear talk from loyal , life supporting men who have had enough. 20 , 30 , even 40 years supporting the Vale and they have had enough. They are not kids or yobs. They have been completely destroyed by our board and their antics. I am sure they would all put up with a crap team on the pitch and dream of better things to come - we have done many times over the years but this board ? No we cannot put up with them any longer. If these supporters leave they will never return and believe me there are many with these same feelings. Honestly dont know the answer but i hope its for the better for Port Vale Football Club and for us all.

Football is not a workingmans sport anymore and at this level paying 20 quid for a ticket maybe twice a week is very expensive. And watching the dross we have displayed this last few months would contribute to people picking and chosing next season. I personally will not be purchacing an ST and i know plenty more who are doing the same. And i will not attend VP next season as long as Bratt and co are in charge.

Little niggly things which have never been addressed e.g. the Toilets, they stink so bad they make my teeth itch vile, the catering a complete joke. OK 8yrs to late they employ a marketing team and why because Bratt and Mudie have to admit defeat as they can not coax any investment to the Club, but Bratt has managed to take 250k in wages what for. They treat the fans just like paying customers because they think they own the Club.

Vale have Championship facilities that are derelict......But they claim they have spent millions on ground improvements WHERE??. seats still missing the Lorne St. The Robbie Williams suite is used as a building store. They are offering prime advertising spaces for a grand +VAT and why .......because they are available, No ****er wants them. I could go on.........Bill and co this 'Starve them out Campaign' will be the death of you OR the Club........On your heads.

It's been 2 weeks sine there fanfare about April season ticket sales and since then just a deathly silence. The truth must be they've sold about 50 and are in a blind panic somewhere, if they had sold a large number we would know by now. This combined with the EGM and the senile 6's end cannot be far away I recon.....

Guest from another angle
How can we honestly expect to attract a decent manager with this soap opera going on?

cus any decent manager with half a brain would stay away from port vale not because of the board , but because of our supporters ,who are beyond belief sometimes.

they drive any decent quality we have ever had out of the club by constantly moaning , and looking for a scapegoat to moan at ,thats the only time vale fans are happy ,and constantly being jelous of stoke , its time to get real we have never been as big as stoke and never will be ,not now anyway.

we are a decent sized league one club and thats it .

we hounded gannon out for being too strict with the players !

what happens ! three of them get arrested before the biggest game of the season , what a joke

we kept geting comments like Whats he playing at not picking roberts ,

now hes gone we get comments like why is roberts playing

****ing unreal only at the vale where we have 5000, managerial tactichans who all sit in the stands

rant over

Which quality manager did the fans drive away? Was it glover, Sinnott or gannon?

A decent sized league 1 club, that are stuck in league 2 losing money like anything...but that's the fans fault?
