As things stand, we're still second on same points as Fleetwood (one up at Cheltenham), with 4 point gap now over fourth place Exeter. Looks as if we're under massive pressure now as Exeter have 72% possession. But Exeter have only had 3 shots and none (yet!) on target. We need to hold on, or better still get a second!

Ano, Popey said himself on the radio the other day that he couldn't believe himself that he was on to a record like that, having actually watched the likes of Tony Naylor, Lee Mills and Martin Foyle from the stands as a young fan all those years ago, quite remarkable. Popey... the man who is living every fans dreams.

 

It was replayed again too. Pope said if that nobody puts the ball on his head by the time they have played 60 minutes, then they will be getting "a mouthful of abuse". You just know that he really, really wanted this record.

If you look back at my posts (not actually suggesting you do!) then you would see I have also been a big fan of Pope and have often argued with people who slated him. I could see just how much he brought to the team. Even though I backed him even in my wildest dreams I never though he would be this prolific.
