Brown is so average, his link up play is poor (he tries, mind).

We really will need a proper replacement for Cole.

Impressed with Gordon, Archer, Garrity and John so far.

At this point I would much rather have a trier than some we have been lumbered with that have skill in abundance but no spine

Sounds like a firm of solicitors!!

Don’t think we’ve particularly good but can’t complain at 1-0

I think picking Kyle John has been a home run pick by Brady not just for the goal but this lad plays with a bit of mongrel about him.

Away from home you’d take it. These haven’t done a great deal but you got to think Wellens will make changes. This will be our next challenge how we react.

Brown up top he puts in the effort so while that shouldn’t be something anyone gets a pat on the back for compared to some we’ve seen this season you can at least work with that. I’d still be getting on Stockley to try and make it stick up top.

Of course.

We see it a lot from our forwards / attacking players, the final / decisive passes are just not always coming off - though Waine had a good chance in first half early on when he found space.

Gauchi needs to work on his kicking badly as we keep saying.

Impressed with shape and tracking players, good defensive play but we are perhaps dropping in a bit too deep towards the end of that first half.

Could really do with another, I just hope any Orient changes don't turn us inside out.

Got to say we’ve been the by far the better side there, looked compact and threatening, particularly early doors. Can’t remember them having a chance/ shot tbh. Only another 45 to go…. 😩

I posted the other day John is limited but in my opinion he is our best defender, and tries his guts out

We're not set up to dominate it's clear it's based on counter attacking with all the direct balls forward. We don't seem to care too much about keeping the ball.

Decent away performance. Can't fault the effort and commitment which was sadly lacking last week. Need to be better at keeping the ball up the pitch.  Brown not offering enough alongside Garrity. Defense all playing well.

Some real impressive individual performances, particularly Gordon and John. Garrity back is a big plus. Feel we are going to need a second goal.

I agree, just looks like two poor sides but we’ve got the goal and not really looked threatened

Completely outplayed them first 15-20 but have dropped deeper since and let them dictate, all be it with zero threat.

These look terrible, similar to us at our worst but expect they will improve so can’t afford a poor half.

We re not really good enough to keep the ball anyway so may as well try other ways to win games.

Started very well. They’ve come into it and we need a bit of calmness to hold it up and put a few passes together. Keep going lads!

Why we stopped attacking

Keep going forwards not backwards

Couldnt get game on so watching sky sports news

First 20 4 attempts 1 goal then we stopped doing it .

Keep going forwards Vale
