I dont think you can prove that he didn't want out and he was up for the fight probably just like others cant prove he wanted out(although he said himself  that as soon as Luton showed interest,he wanted out) and wasn't up for the fight

My hopes for today are that we bring in another striker on a permanent deal. Someone 19-23, that's maybe had a couple of decent-ish loans in NL/L2 and where we can look to improve them.

Josh Stokes from York would be magic. Or Danny Ormerod is tearing up NLN at 19 years old. Maybe even Olly Sanderson from Fulham.

The name I'm keeping a very close eye on today is Abdul Abdulmalik from Boreham Wood. I've watched him a lot this season and he's a cracking winger. Definitely ready for an EFL move. Would love it to be us but doubt he's on our radar.

The article itself is only available to premium subscribers but the "Academy Productivity Rankings" (according to AI) measure the success of English football academies by "ranking clubs based on the number of graduates playing in the top five European leagues and the top English divisions, with weighted points for higher-level appearances."

So, it's pretty rubbish that only two clubs currently fare worse than Vale in that ranking! I have read elsewhere that Chelsea are top with a score of 168.04 while Grimsby are 80th with a score of 3.82 so Gawd knows what Vale's score was.

I think the rankings are based on players appearing in the league. For quite a long period there was only Raglan and Prosser, prior to McDermott and Plant. Plant playing for Tranmere will have shot us up the rankings, as would a loan move for Dipepa. Our academy was pretty unproductive for a long, long time. We got a lot higher under Crosby when Plant, Lomax, Walters, Shorrock and Dipepa all played. Prior to Saturday I think the only Academy graduates to have made a league appearance were Walters and McDermott.
