Rob Taylor

Article about Rob in the sentinel today about trying to break back into the first team. I do like Rob, think he's a bit of a rough diamond that could improve exponentially with the right coaching, if he practises crossing he could be a brilliant player for us. I did like this show of commitment also "It has been a frustrating time. I've been in all summer without a holiday trying anything to help the process speed up. It's brilliant to be back involved.". We need more players with that level of commitment!

im not sure why we gave him a contract

i hope he makes me look stupid

He's versatile, can play left back, left mid or up front which is very important in small squads like ours, he has bags of pace which is what scares the opposition most, and he can do the hardest thing in the game which is put the ball in the onion bag. They're the reasons that I think Adams would use to justify his contract.

Wouldn't be starting if I was Mickey but he's a great option to have off the bench when teams are tiring.

With all of the above said tisdeano I get where you're coming from. The guy really hasn't progressed as we had hoped has he?

I've always rated Taylor, imo considering where he came from(Nuneaton who were then Conference North level) he's a decent lower league winger.

Yes he's frustrating but few players in League Two aren't, he's done well in both games he's come on for me(he subs in general changed the game at Morecambe) and he put a cross in Saturday that was begging to be finished off!

He can also offer us a few goals which shouldn't be sniffed at.

Im not sure if he has bags of potential or is a just a quick runner.

More baffling of an enigma than Louis Dodds.

Potential??? Isn't he 27 or there about? I think both him and Dodds have just gone sideways since they joined the club and both need to take advantage of the situation were in to get a run of games under there belts
