the likes of Wigan, Swansea, Blackpool, were all clubs we were playing regular 10-15 years ago and were getting similar gates to us, look at them now which comes from steady management a bit of money and the right players for each level can achieve what dreams are made of

 

People seem to forget this and the little old vale ethos is large and well at vale park. I swear for some of the older generations at time its like an 'ahhhh back to where we belong' kind of thing. I agree totally with what you say, we just need to be run right not bankrolled. A little cash here and there and sound businesses management and good use of facilities.

He had nothing to do with Vale when we went into admin. He sold his shares and left the sinking ship. It worries me but Vale nearly killed him so I doubt he will back.
It is not going into Admin that the police are looking at, it is the clubs board room antics and share dealing that is the problem, of which Bratt was at the centre.

Wigan have been bankrolled into the top tier, not long ago they were non-league, I even remember them in the same league as Vale reserves. Swansea and Blackpool have been in the top tier before and fell on hard times. Vale have been a 3rd tier club for most of thier time, with spells in the second tier when having great managers like Steele and Rudge. Also spells in the 4th tier when poorly managed off field and/or on. Firstly we have to get back to L1, before breaking our record for a spell in tier 4. Once there we can plan for the future, but looking at the Championship it is a very prosperous league, parachute payments and much larger crowds, that make playing above our level more difficult than when we were last there. But who knows what is around the corner, that is the interesting part of football, fingers crossed one step at a time.

I beg your pardon but mr bratt did have shares and got rid of his before it went belly up not like myself and hundreds more like me who took a hit in there pockets for the vale.
