He MUST set his personal target at 20 now!! Get to that stage and then move onto 25. By the sounds of it, if we can keep this team going and remain injury/suspension free for a while, we will keep giving him chances. The good thing looking at his goals yesterday, they were mainly poachers/opportunist goals! Right place, right time. Simples! :)

The natives were out in full force last night celebrating the way that popey has seamlessly put his 6 goals away this season. Shouts of popey for England could be heard from every street corner and I'm led to believe the Vatican had to release a statement denying the Pope was at vale park yesterday. They agreed a godly presence could have been involved in the goal fest though and I'm led to believe his first name is Tom.

Go arrrrrn Popey lad

Good start but consistency is the key, four in one game is a phenomenal performance but it doesn't represent consistency. He needs to score a single goal every two games for a couple of months to get his confidence up and mine in him.

Just been told that if he gets a goal every 2 matches for the rest of the season, he will end up getting a transfer to a club in the higher mountains.a goal in 3 keeps him with us.

Keep it steady & keep it with us popey lad!

Slightly off-topic, but I was looking Darren Beckfords stats up at the weekend, and interestingly, he wasn't as consistent as you would expect for a 20 goal-a-season striker. Most of his goals came as part of a hattrick or brace.

The pitch will be to bumpy for Popey playing for the Royal Oak up Biddle Moor.
