Goals?

Not wanting to put a damper on the good news of the players signing

contracts which is great news, but a concern of mine is with having no budget

to build the dream as MA puts it where will the goals from the present squad to try to force

ourselves into the top 7 places come from any thoughts?

Ten each from Pope, Williamson, JMW, Vincent and Shuker.

Ten combined from the defence.

 

10 shared between Dodds, Morsy, Murphy.

 

That's 70 goals. Optimistic, but possible.

I think between them they should be aiming for 40 goals though.

I cannot see us going all season without a new buyer, well someone did say optimistic, lol. So hopefully at some point soon we will be able to add to the squad. Providing of course the new Chairman ain't a tight fisted bugger!!!! Lol

Hopefully we will find a buy within the next month or so. If people are expecting us to do without being able to bring new players in all season because of our current situation, then scoring goals is the least of our worries. The players we have need to do the business during the start of the season (hopefully).

Schuker played just in front of back four yesterday so I'm not sure he will get anywhere near 10.

 

The man 'left out' so far is the one who has impressed me most in friendlies and that's Williamson. Although he didn't score he gave a league 1 defence plenty of headaches yesterday. With Richards gone I'm hoping he and Pope will thrive on the fact JMW is capable of getting to the bye-line - first winger we've had for a while who has had the pace to do that.
