Apparently vale have offered ex Bristol city player marlon Jackson a contract and also looks like we'll have to pay 65k for Shaun harrad according to a rumours site ive been checking. It's been pretty accurate over the last week with the 6 signings and Dickinson hopefully it's right with these 2. Thoughts anyone

Good first post.;)

Which rumours site?

Me and the bride saw a big black lad getting out of a car at the vale today as we went down hamil road, thought it was weird as he had all his training gear on but parked outside the away fans ticket office? Perhaps a new lad who didnt know where abouts to go?

Can't see Adams signing 4 more? We've signed some decent players who are probably on much higher wages than the players we've just released, (barring Richards). That's without Dicko's wage, he'd be 7.

It would be 2 max for me. Dicko & 1 more. Another striker or a LB? If we've got a better budget for 4 more players i certainly won't be complaining though. We could always dip into the loan market of course if we need to aswell.

Agreed. I said 2-3 weeks ago in the wake of the departures of Griffith, Rico etc that we needed to add six quality new players if we are to be serious about going anywhere next season. Looked a big ask and the time and I was similar to many on here in feeling a bit gloomy and negative.

However, I'm now pretty happy with Vale bringing in players of the calibre of JMW, Vincent and especially Richard Duffy. That's a real statement of intent from Vale imo and it's little surprise that most bookies have slashed their odds quite considerably on a Vale promotion challenge for next season.

I'd settle for bringing in Dickinson (as long as he proves his fitness and starts firing in the goals again), and one further addition to squad. If/once we do that then we're good to go for next season!
