I have seen it mentioned on here that Mike Williamson is a big Vale fan,is this a known fact?? 

If it is even though he only went to MK in October that will mean nothing if your boyhood club comes calling and the chance to come home to SOT as long as you pay compo

In the short term my guess is we're going to be fine with Ryder and Co. My second guess is that DF is now in the last chance saloon after the second appalling January transfer window, not to mention the summer, and his complete misjudgement of the dire situation we're in. All will depend now on who he brings in and on what terms. And just a slight incentive for him: If we fail to recruit because he insists on keeping rigid control of all first team matters, his fate will be sealed. One decent manager out of two might pass muster but another appointment failure and he's done.

Then there's the simple matter of the potentially huge amount of funding that our owners will have to find to put all this right...

Not conspiracy theories, I haven't made it up. Those are the rumours doing the rounds on social media. The publicly available evidence doesn't rule them out, if anything it supports them.

He is supposed to be a Vale fan but I question that after he scored a diving header own goal whilst playing for Newcastle Utd in a 2-1 win for Stoke at St James Park in the Premier League

Anybody else starting to think that this panto is now looking  like the Foyle/Porter/Glover fiasco. I thought those days were behind us.

EVERY man and his dog said after DC was sacked "you don't mess about with cheap shots in league 1, we have to get an established EFL manager in.

Some of these names being banded about are totally pie in the sky. Although, it is nice to hear us being linked with some decent names.

I just can't imagine Rowett, Eustace, Duff, Moore, Heckingbottom or even Ainsworth working under Flitcroft. There's no chance in my mind that that'll happen. 

I feel like our shortlist will likely consist of managers like Michael Appleton, Dean Holden, Mark Bonner, Gary Bowyer, Michael Flynn and the like unfortunately.
