He's a good League 2 player. He should look a league above in the Conference, just like he he didn't look good enough in League 1. I don't recall him getting much stick, just people realised it was a level too far for TC.

Just reading reviews on Oldham's Fans Rorum about Tom Conlon's first game for Oldham They're nice to read:

 Conlon - what we've been missing, class act, best midfielder I've seen since Sheridan. 
 

What a pleasure to see someone make a pass from the middle of the park and slow the play . Conlon looks like that midfielder I’d almost forgotten existed 

 

I reckon Conlon will be our most important signing in years. Goalscorers are incredibly important but a team is nothing without a competent midfield. Sounds like it clicked for him tonight already 

Hogan and Conlon where outstanding.

We know Conlon would do a job in League 1, is an excellent League 2 midfielder, so it should be no surprise he's running the show in the Conference.  Should make the difference for Oldham.

Tom.Conlon has got a lot offer no doubt about it but lost his way at Vale 

Hope he gets it back at Oldham and has a fine career moving  forwards .

I've just being reading some fans on twitter have tagged a player at Stoke and are abusing his performance. 

To me that's taking it too far .

If they do that with every player no wonder they lose so often. 

I wouldn't like think Vale fans do it .

I hope they do not .

I'm.sure they don't come on football forums unless there Vain to see what some fans ate saying about them .

Why would they .

I wouldn't if I was getting whatever they get a month /week.

I think running the show is a bit extreme. A few decent comments from Oldham fans after his debut.

For balance they lost 1-0 at home to the mighty Woking on Saturday and Conlon was subbed on 59 minutes. 

Let's not get all doe eyed. Great player who's Vale career was ruined by Injury. But he's nowhere near League one standard hence he's gone.
