Rather than the rumour and speculation; what do we actually know? If we could work out the salary savings made due to players leaving, and the likely budget increase that KR mentioned then at least we can have a reasonable guess as to how much Adams will have to play with.

johnson just played in the play off final and played well, he also helped birmingham get up to the premiership 2 times playing full seasons, he has not got a bad injury record at all

I think you are misinformed on this one. Plymouth have only just got rid for a start so thats nothing to do with the Championship. Johnson has also missed more games than he's played at Huddersfield due to injury and most fans are glad he hasn't signed and would rather they went for Andrews.
