lets see all the facts first before panicking . tbh this has to have been part of the deal from day one so i do not see it putting a spanner in the works . we do need clarification though as to exactly what is going on . we have been here before and that is why assurances need to be made now rather than later.

I just feel that the council no the score and they will have a say in this matter. However if KR shows evedence that money will be paid back, no missed payments, no real problem.

I think it's very naughty of the Sentinel to call this a "loan" in their big headline. Mr Ryder is not borrowing money from the Council - he is negotiating the terms of the repayment of the existing loan. The Council will not be handing over any more money to the club.

 

Bearing in mind that the Council borrowed the money in the first place to loan on to Vale, I would have thought it made sense to have some paid up front and some over time. The Council is not actually losing all the money from one year's budget as has been implied on numerous occasions. The £550,000 being paid up front will actually boost this year's budget when, it seems, they are in serious need of cash.

As Jean has said, there is no 'loan'. It's simply restructuring the way that the existing loan will be repaid.

 

Good business sense to me. I really don't see any reason to panic, we knew that we owed the money and that it had to be repaid. This seems a very sensible way of doing it.

So he's just renegotiated a small part of the original debt, not exactly a loan is it?! Rubbish journalism from The Sentinel.

Its just a restructure of the loan similar to a re mortgage i would have thought.

 

People need to calm down and learn to trust again, as Tisdeano states "he wants us to suceed"
