Micky and the players should be applauded for their loyalty and this mindless speculation should end, will mickey stay will owen tale over etc. etc.

Much of this nonsense help to fuel the fire that started the blaze the has become a possible cremation of our Club.We need posative and constructive post to secure the future of PVFC and less mindless banter.

Administrators job to cut costs etc. If Mickey is top earner then they've got to look at cutting his wage.

Suppose the administrator (provided one is appointed) decided to give Micky the heave ho, and Grewy and Horse were dispensed with as luxuries Vale can't afford, what price Gareth Owen being appointed player manager?

 

I think a lot depends on the nature of the administration that develops. If it is one where there is interest in buying the club that can be taken forward fairly quickly, then there is hope that players and other staff are kept on. However, if this develops in to Plymouth or Stockport and drags on for up to a couple of seasons (the max allowed before league expulsion) then it is inevitable people are made redundant. Of course the other dimension is that people leave of their own free will to go and work for a solvent and reliable employer. They then can't be replaced.

As much as i hope i am wrong on this i realistically cannot see Micky Adams being at Port Vale IF and WHEN we come out the other side.

If Mo takes over, he may or may not see Mickey as the long-term option. It's therefore in Micky's own interest to stay loyal. But good luck to him - to get what he has out of the players in these circumstances has been nothing short of fantastic. And the only ray of light in a grim situation.

If we go into admin we'll lose 10 points and the season is over. Barring a miracle we wont go down but I fear that we'll lose Adams.

 

Richards, Griffith, Loft and co will be sold or released. Half of the backroom staff will be made redundant. We'll be playing the kids towards the end of the season believe me.
