On thr radio just it said that Harlequin are looking for repayment of a 75k loan by previous chairman Mr Bratt.

 

The club is currently investigating the terms of this loan. So yet more money we need to pay back

Just been told that in the Sentinel it says the writ papers have been issued yesterday for non payment of loan and because of this dispute Harlequin will not be renewing their sponsorship next season.

 

So this must have been the reason for Bungling Bill being at the club yesterday.

I think this will create a domino effect. Any businesses/suppliers who are owed money by the club might start to call payment in. They will have seen the situations at rangers and Portsmouth and fear they could miss out on any money owed as regardless what comes out of the club, we must be sailing close to admin.

On the plus side, if the stories about bratt returning to the board are true and MOLD think this might sway people to vote for the board at the egm, this might may them think twice as why would bratt lumber the club with a loan they didn't require??

I'm willing to bet that Mr Bratt will come riding over the hill on his white charger to broker a deal with Harlequin, thus saving the club and making himself look great with the undecided.

I thought exactly the same as soon as I saw the writ, its pre EGM time, will be interesting..

 

My view is that the threat of them calling the loan in will hang around for 10 days or so to maximise the worry amongst the shareholders who may be swayed....
