And directors on the board who offer expertise rather than a comfy seat on a saturday. How Stan Meigh was actually on the board for so many years is amazing. We need to get rid of the £50,000 rule as well.

On a serious note, over the past few years I've gotten to know Nick and his sons quite well.

 

I can hand on heart say that if Nick does get onto an iterim board, or even if he is able to offer advice from the outside, he will do it with only the best of intentions for Port Vale Football club and it supporters.

I totally agree with Nick's comment regarding the roles of the directors. It's not good enough just to be a director. They need to have responsibility for the main areas of the business. As it stands now, who is the stadium director? Who is the marketing director?
