Last 4 clubs have been Blue Square clubs, but i dont think that really matters when you look at the quality of our squad.

 

Im sure they will find some money from somewhere to sign these two on a short term loan.

Think you are right in that they will find a bit of cash from somewhere so that they can push Micky out to thank them for their generousity. For me though we need a centre-back, right-back and a winger not an ex-striker though.

No i think im on about the right one Santa, i just thought he was older than 27.

 

He's had 11 clubs in his career.

No he was a little winger, this guys a centre forward.

 

The other Tommy Wright us probably about 40 now.

Wright... *****, not good enough for Grimsby in this league, therefore not good enough for us. Marshall on the other hand, he would be a good signing, was pretty impressive in that depressingly inept Sinnott/ Glover side. Also he scored at the tricky away day that was Saltergate, give him a go if we can find some spare change down the seats in the directors lounge.

am I right ibn saying Tommy Wright had a spell with Barnsley around when Marc Richards played for them? we all know Paul Marshall was a good player for us in a poor team a few seasons ago Im pretty sure if we could find the funds for any loan signings these 2 would do well for us.

Marshall looked ok, nothing to get excited about. not a position I would say were in desperate need of strenghening.

 

In my opinion we need a winger who can beat a man and put a decent ball in, but obviously I know nothing as the club thought it ok to let williams go back to stevenage.

If I remember rightly Marshall was good at set pieces and scored from one when we lost to chesterfield away 2-1 about 3 years ago.

I was stood in the Paddock level with Marshall's corner he sent over for Lee Collins to score from against Wycombe.

 

It was exactly the sort of set piece we've been missing for years, driven in with plenty of pace and swerve.
