Obviously We are not fully conversant with all club owners over the years, but is Smurfthwaite the worst there has ever been for any club at any time ?

 

A few names come to mind. The Oyston’s obviously. That guy who took over Notts a few years ago who was quite literally a fraud. For the older fan David Bulstrode at Fulham was not popular to say the least. At least our very own Arthur McPherson received a suspended prison sentence for “only” receiving stolen goods.

 

But in my 55 years of watching and loving football, I cannot recall any owner who took such pleasure in goading his own team’s fans as does our present incubant.

 

Can anyone think of one who may compare ?
