Has the name Martin Henderson been mentioned yet? (sorry - just got in from work). He was supposedly an intelligent centre forward....We signed him from Chesterfield but he didn't want to play for us (I think) and was soon moved on. Completely ineffectual.

Since this Pollard thread (which has been brilliant by the way - we haven't mentioned internal infighting, Perry wotsit or administration once - oops, sorry) seems to be veering towards the berserkers who have played for the Vale, is it time for a nutters XI thread? The team that was the most intimidating for the oppo, and that we ourselves would least like to see lining up against us on a Sunday morning?

1 - Alex Williams - if he fell on you after catching a cross, that was your career ended.

2 - Colin Tartt - would kick his granny in to the Paddock for the Vale

3 - Jason Talbot - stark staring bonkers

4 - Peter Swann - part of the Krays with number 8

5 - Bob Hazel - just don't upset him

6 - Andy Hill - hard as nails, once saw him throw his conkers in front of a point blank shot at Huddersfield to stop a certain goal. Even my eyes watered.

7 - Gareth Ainsworth - you would just bounce off him as he steamed past

8 - Keith Houchen - big, bad and awkward

9 - Bernie Wright - possibly unhinged and one to avoid

10 - Bob Newton - burly bruising barnstormer

11 - Ron Futcher - would nut you for fun
