Unless I’m mistaken, didn’t The Blue One say that he would have NO say whatsoever in what went on at Nuneaton on the football side and that his purchase of their ground would in no way affect Vale ?

 

Call me stupid, but doesn’t this development make him “economical with the truth” on both points ?

Is it a coincidence that the unwanted loan player he signed for Page a few years ago has ended up at Nuneaton as well?

I think it's far better for his development than being 5th choice if he stayed at the club. A bit like Turner he'll need to come back and really lay down a marker during the second half of the season.

 

Not really sure what people want the club to say about this at the moment as until it gets approval neither player has actually gone on loan. Not sure its worth a press release to say 2 reserves might be going on loan somewhere. Smurthwaite probably doesn't have any say on the football side but clearly knows the people running the club so its pretty sensible to make moves like this in both clubs interest.
