If you read this, do you see parallels with Norman’s strategy? He doesn’t charge rent, of course, unlike the Bonsers.

A bar in the paddock would be only for Smurthwaite's sake and nothing to do with it being for Port Vale's sake.

 

He wants to build on the corner where Tommy Cheadles is in order to make money from accommodation rents.

 

Hope that he doesn't get the planning permission.

Surely a reason to reject the application if the plan is not up to date?

 

it's a criminal offence to use out of date plans at an application it's called obtaining pecuniary advantage by deception.

The only way he could do it is close the turnstiles to the Railway stand and cut through the wall that separates the Railway stand from the Railway paddock so that the access is through the Railway paddock.

Knock down the old snack bar and he has enough room for his hotel.

He had grand plans for apartments in the gap between the Hamil end and Loren st which seem to have quietly been dropped because he is just a bulls@itter.

On the practicalities, I have assumed the new bar is a replacement for the existing Paddock Bar, access from the Stand would be available by the gates close to the Paddock toilet block if that is the plan, but would require a gateman to check returnees to the stand. No doubt details will emerge when the bar goes into service.
