It's an absolute must win as far as im concerned.

 

Grimsby will be up for this, and will hit us early doors like they did at Vale last week.

 

Have we got the players available to create and sneak a goal?..

 

Richards will surely play even if not 100% just to give the team a lift and make them think about something different.

Both 1 game only I think so should be back.

However, both Loft and Collins picked up knocks against Cheltenham so it may be 2 in and 2 out.

I tend to agree that we need Richards back, even half fit, to give the team a boost.

Calm down lads and dunner worry. This is THE turning point in Vale's flagging fortunes.

A 1-0 victory will see us turn things around big time.

 

3 valuable points on Friday and then things start turning for the better, a victory over Salisbury brings QPR to Vale Park in January.

Victories in the league start to propel us up the league and QPR's poor run of form over Winterfest sees them play a second string against Vale who win comfortably 2-0.

The fourth rounfd draw sees Vale pitched away at Wigan and after a 0-0 rearguard action Vale play the replay in front of 12,000 at Vale Park and win a thriller on penalties in front of the Sky TV Cameras.

Man City at home but Vale are by now looking more and more at the league table and sure enough, Vale go out 3-1 but the result is quickly forgotten as Vale soon cement their position in the play-off places and go on to win promotion with Micky Adams being carried jubilantly around Burslem on top of an open top double decker.

I doubt that Richards will be involved - if his ankle wasn't good enough for any involvement on the weekend you have to think it's a long shot for him to be ready to be involved on Tuesday.

 

Griff and Roberts returning will help but the lack of creativity and goals is still very much the problem.

 

I think we might get a sneaky 1-0 win but I can see it being a real battle.

 

Please Micky go back to 4-4-2 and get some stability back into the formation.
