Morsy is too young for Adams. He has no record of improving young players. And just to think when he signed all those 'youngsters ' in the summer it was to be the start of a new era at the Vale. Yeh right....

I was going to say Morsy and Loft in free attacking positions but I thought it would get shot down! Sort of a malleable diamond shape. However, the players can't be trusted to perform simple tasks at the moment, so getting them to play in a simple formation and sticking to rudimentary tactics is challenging enough.

When Collins comes back I think we need to play 4-3-3 with a midfield 3 of Griff, Loft and Morsy and a front three of Pope, Richards and Rigg, simply because it's getting our best players in their best positions. Playing 4-4-2, which a lot of people seem to be calling for would just mean more square pegs in round holes with Rigg and/or Loft being stuck out wide where they're considerably less effective.

My thoughts exactly, Roberts got alot of work to do before gettin a start, he needs to be coming off the bench and changing games to prove his desire to play football. I myself dont think he has the desire but would love to be proved wrong.

The most sensible comment on this thread.

Folk on here amaze me not so long ago Griff was a hero now many on here don't rate him. Griff's performances haven't dropped particularly which is more than can be said of his team mates.

With regards to Morsy the lads tries hard but at present with very little end product I'm afraid.

I personally don't understand everyone's love of griff. OK he's hardworking and can tackle, but he is such a poor footballer. It is no coincidence to me that he has played every minute of every game and our midfield looks woeful ( albeit it's often bypassed). Loft and morsy are our two best midfielders. Roberts thinks he's better than he is

Or alternatively, you could look at the facts and the quality of teams we played in each period. Your agenda serves no purpose, like it or lump it, he is one of our best players & one of a very select few that could play in League One

I would prefer Morsy to be playing if I'm honest. I think with experience he will become a good player for us.

Griff will look a far better player in this league when the penny drops that all he needs to do is sit in, win the ball and give it to someone no further than 10 yards away from him .

 

Simple but effective.

 

Anything more than that is where he looks poor , gives away the ball and puts us back in trouble .
