The one great save he made on Saturday was good but firstly he should have gone for the ball before it got to the opponent and he dithered instead of being positive. The forward was offside anyway. Also for a big guy he does not catch the ball very well.

Only give Pyke a go if he's shown to Aspin in training he's worth a go ahead of others. Giving players a go because the others in the squad either aren't playing well or haven't had the play time to show their worth is pointless, it only creates more inconsistency within the team. To add to that, just because some are playing bad, doesn't mean he'll be better.

 

Fair enough that we haven't seen a lot of him to judge, but from what time he's had on the pitch so far, he's not really done anything to warrant a place.

Going back to Pyke, I can't form much of an opinion about him yet as I haven't seen him play enough. He's supposedly a talent and I hope so but only Aspo will be able to decide if he's good enough to get game time. It'd be great if he does come good though.

yeah from preseason he looked like he had something. Again if we were keeping turner and not sending him out on loan i dont see why we brought in Pyke. Personally i think him and pope would be an interesting combo given time. Needs either sending back and going to another club to get games or turner needs sending out on loan till Jan. Its doing neither of their development any good on the bench or watching

Agreed, & right now I'd take Turner over Pyke easily.

Don't see what Dan Turner brings to the game right now. I have been to all the homes league games bar Wycombe and when he has featured I have hardly noticed him. Yes he has popped up in the right place and scored a couple of goals but doesn't excite like Pyke did in the 2nd half against Crewe. That was the last we have seen of him!

Sure Turner will develop but id take Pyke over Turner right now.

That's what Brown was excellent at! Letting some decent players rot away whilst his favourite no hopers continually messed up.
