The two clubs one city idea is flawed anyhow, with the Borough of Newcastle under Lyme and Staffordshire moorlands it is more than big enough to host two successful clubs.
True, just that SOT is the smallest city with 2 clubs, but as you say the catchment area is reasonable.

People on here say everything that is currently wrong with Port Vale is due to the Chairman.

Yet in Vales best ever period the success achieved was nothing to do with the chairman at that time.

 

Yet that period ended when said chairman sacked the greatest manager in the club's history. Not that I'm comparing Rob Page to John Rudge, I'm just saying a manager can succeed in spite of a chairman but when the chairman sacks him it goes from a difficult task to an impossible one!

Dark days indeed for our loved Vale .

It can change though if people r hungry enough for it do so .

We will c theres one thing which could and should work in our favour and that is every fan will be shouting that bit louder ,the players will run that much harder or at least they should.

As a supporter we can stay away ,or lie down and die or we can go and encourage more than ever and something special be the outcome after the terrible last few years.

Ive seen enough that if Brown plays the 11 most positive players then wins will come aplenty.

Negativity breeds negativity after beating Crawley by playing 4 centre halfs across the back four u dont get much more negative than that even if Wilson did have a torrid time v the crawley goalscorer.

I expect c a uprising from Vale .

I think with everyone fit we will finish 5th but unfortunately thats not the case so a 8th placed finish due to bad luck .

Then 3 consecutive promotions and beating Stoke home and away will be the outcome .

Bit a like a rock solid relationship ending ,and people will say who would have predict ed that .
