It's a piece of art..what next ban the statue of David cos you can see his penis? or even worse cover it up!!!!

 

My point is it's not the words themselves that are unacceptable (although some may disagree) but the way they are used, the context.

If you read my post, I was in agreement with you that it shouldn't be banned. As I said, I just wonder where we draw the line on this and similar subjects.

Summed it up to a tee. There was no problem with the old greeting. We will never appease everybody all the time and the more we think about it the more it gets raised to the spotlight.

That was my point too using the statue of David as an example where someone one day will say "Ban it, it's obscene" . there have to be limits when it come to art cos you can't just justify everything by claiming it's art but at the same time it must not swing too far the other way.

So true. I'm sure that will happen if we carry on down the dangerous route of taking the feelings of trans people in to account. The worst thing imaginable is that these kind of issues get thought about and 'raised to the spotlight'.
