Leon Scott signing from Darlington?

Spoke to the guy who originally posted the tweet to Mr Scott, who said "Heard it from a mate (very reliable source) who walks his dog past the ground everyday pal, can slot in just behind the strikers and has a quality touch. Scored 8 goals and 11 assists from that position so far this season and has a pass completion rate of 89% easily!"

Followed by "I'm just ******* with you tbh mate "

All banter originally from the Darlington fan forum post that I've attached.

Correct Rob, Unless they mutually agree a termination prior to us signing him.

I know there should be a player announced this week, but its not a midfielder.

The agreed termination would have to be before the end of January. Any player on contract, even in non league, can't be signed by a football league club either permanent or on loan after January. I emailed the Football League to ask them last month and that is what they told me.

Gets more confusing every year! He's not signing for us anyway thankfully, looks like a rate ponce.

I had a feeling that was the case. Cheers Phil!

Nice. What happened to giving players a chance before writing them off?

come on, he's 31 and has such top teams as Shildon FC on his CV in the North East Ferret and Leek Growers League. If he was 18-19 with potential fair enough give him a chance, but he is nothing more than a North East Sunday league player reaching the end of his career with zero league experience. I think its safe to say he wouldn't be a good signing.

Well if you read my other post on this topic he was never signing for us.... I'll give everyone a chance, if they're signing for us. Not a 30 year old with no league experience who can't hack the northern conference though unfortunately.
