Do you think having a caretaker manager in charge during the transfer window had an effect on attracting new players? Are you ashamed of the way you treated a decent professional like Page, someone who took us from 2nd bottom to 12th in 18 months? Are you aware of the fall in our attendances since you took over? Do you now understand that you have to pay for quality, rather than paying peanuts to loads of kids?

Some of you have this preoccupation of me selling when the right party comes along l will hand over the reins and l promise you it will be the right party until then can we just forget the running of to the sunset and try and fix what is broken

It takes a lot to undo 10 years of neglect and some short comings of my own but it will improve

You never learn. Everything is always about you Smurf. You're an embarrassment to the club. Every decision you make damages us. Your posts tonight have drained any lingering hope I had that recent events / results would make you see sense and sell up. I despair every time you comment. Every plan you have, fails. You've taken a club with a positive, increased fanbase, to a divided one where STs and average attendances are getting lower every season.

Its never a good sign when you start equating criticism of business decisions with 'insults'.

 

Vale fans have every right to be aggrieved by the decisions undertaken by yourself since the end of last season. To be silent for several months (I accept you have had health issues, and I hope you are on the mend on that front) and to pop up out of nowhere on OVF at midnight on a Sunday throwing passive aggressive comments at supporters is not the way to approach this Mr. Smurthwaite. This is nothing new, however.

 

You may be intent on staying for foreseeable but I can only warn you that many fans will vote with their feet, and as much as you would like to, without serious, considered financial investment, Port Vale will not be left in a better place upon your departure than when you bought us.
