Chinese Super League

Shanghai sign Carlos Tevez who's gonna be making a staggering 34.4 million a year !

also noticed Demba Ba plays for them as well as Gus Poyet as the manager.

Not only has Oscar recently joined a club for vast sum of 20mil a year , seems like the chinese want to buy everyone including Di Maria next.

A sad trend in what football is becoming with nations just throwing money at players to try and become a competitive league.

Whilst the sums are ridiculous in many ways, what's sad about them trying to create a competitive league and a spectacle for the fans? They are lagging behind Europe and other parts of the world and so are playing catch up..this is probably the only way they can possibly catch up

At least they are also investing in the grass roots http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/chinese-super-league-clubs-determined-9509701

Not just the Chinese , football in general is becoming a sad state and is only going to get worse with everyone trying to buy their way of becoming the best. While the AFl in Australia is not the most exciting league in the world they have a wage cap at each club not to overspend on players wages

It will continue as long as people with loads of cash to spend are willing to pay exhorbitant prices to watch overpaid foootballers perform for 90 minutes.

Excellent entertainment can be achieved by watching young lads on local playing fields, for free, watching none league football, at low cost, or even sometimes at L1 level, (albeit sometimes at unaffordable prices for many people).

But there is tons of football to watch and 100s of clubs not 'trying to buy their way of becoming the best'...football is not just about the professional game. Football in general is full of clubs run by locals for locals..down my way the game is thriving whilst the professional clubs generally struggle

Long way to go yet before the top level goes pop but in the meantime whilst not giving up on Vale there is plenty of football to watch and support whilst ignoring the PL and similar leagues around the world

True but whilst i enjoy and fully support grassroots and local football , the pro leagues will be considered the mainstream and be all for fan bases globally . I just dread lower league clubs such as vale will be left out in the cold and football itself will become nothing more then a money spinner for the greed owners in this world.

Vale and clubs of a similar stature could find themselves being much smaller but it will still be Vale..we've no right to be as 'big' as we are now or have been in the past

Let the top clubs go off on their money spinning ego trip (it's mainly TV/online money not spectator money) there will still be 1000s of clubs for millions of people to enjoy..a pint, a pie, meet your fellow supporters/mates, enjoy the match, sing a bit, grumble afterwards, occasional (relative) success etc..it will all still be there.

Following Oscar's departure Antonio Conte said that the Chinese League was a danger to all football teams in the world.

I can see many players such as Rooney,Zlatan and Terry moving over there for a final pay day.If they are willing to pay Tevez £615,000 a week it will be a massive attraction.

Unlikely to be a danger to Kidsgrove Athletic nor SIdmouth Town....I dount he was concerned with the lower tiers of English football

Let them go..better than being a drain on the English game
