Well i did it , purchased three of the European multi tickets today for myself and the two lads.

Not sure how i feel about it. I have to say though great value at £15 for three games.

You are sicker than you thought. Something is only of any value if the person wants it. So, if i was offered to watch Stoke for free ( and i have been, as recently as last Saturday ) i would fail to see the value of it...........sorry, i just don't want it.

I'm wondering if the Stoke wanting Grandchildren are just something for you to hide behind...

It really is that Black & White..

I tend to go with Tunstall potter, as a kid growing up in the 1960s I used to go to Stoke a few games a season to see Man Utd,Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal etc. I am and always will be a Vale fan, but you could actually choose to see both teams.........and you just hope that the black and white blood running through your veins can cope with any glory hunters. Loving Vale does not mean you have to hate Stoke

Amen to that - some very odd views on here

I can sympathize with the original poster of this thread. My sister is of a similar age (11 years old), just started High School. When she was at Primary School in Wolstanton all the kids there were Stoke fans, many of them having jumped on the bandwagon, and simply laugh whenever Vale is mentioned in a sentence.

It's hard to persuade younger ones when they're being brainwashed with Stoke stuff at School all the time.:( I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle.

I haven't taken my younger sister to a Vale game before and I certainly don't intend on taking her to a Stoke game despite her constantly asking me or my Dad to take her.

Just like to add that when i was growing up, my old man used to take me to Vale Park instead of going away sometimes... I used to love it.

The fact is at 11 & 13 kids want to hoover up as much football as possible, i know i certainly did and used to enjoy going to Vale Park. If i was still living in the area i would still do it if i didn't fancy the away trip, or if i though that Vale could do with my £20 more than Chelsea could do with another £50-odd.

***, Stoke aren't going to do this very often. It's entirely possible that we may never do it again. Why the hell would two kids who love the game want to watch a team in their city play european football at a price that makes it accessible? I'm not a hater, i want to see Vale promoted this season and get back to a position where they can challenge for promotion to the higher echelons of the game - i feel genuinely upset for the vast majority of Vale supporters who have been watching their club fall to bits over the past few seasons and i hope it stops as soon as possible and i understand the cultural and economic importance of having two succesful clubs in our city. It's a pity some of you are so near-sighted you can't feel the same.

And Lady Vale, i was surprised to read you were born in the 80's. from your posts, you come across as being about 12.

Best of luck for the season. I hope it's your year.
