Congratulations to Stoke for reaching 4th place and getting into the group stage of the Coupa des Auto-Micheski Mouski and clocking up endless air miles and visits to exciting places.

Then again, forget that - premature congratulation is not a nice problem, and there is only one way to go now.

I will happily apologise and wish them real congratulations should they maintain a top 4 place, but somehow even their most biased fan knows they will be lucky to finish in the top half.

Finally, they do deserve some thanks for making Liverpool look poor, and removing any thoughts of a resurgance there.

Well i did it , purchased three of the European multi tickets today for myself and the two lads.

Not sure how i feel about it. I have to say though great value at £15 for three games.

I'm guessing those extra fans Vale had in the Championship were gloryhunters then were they? The better a team gets the more fans it generally gets. Not rocket science.

 

The kids in question are 11 and 13 for God sake - not worth getting your knickers in a knot over.

 

1) Yes, of course they were

2) No it's not rocket science. But taking your kid to your rivals - it's not rocket science where they will stay either. Might aswell get a coach leaving Vale Park to Stoke on a match day.

3) The age has nowt to do with it.

4) You would feel the same if your team were in the a r s e end of English football and 'fans' began trying to justify watching your arch rivals.

Calm down i never said that, but are you saying that if a European game involving a pretty decent team was being played just minutes away and its only £15 to get in plus the kids want to go. You would stay away just because it's not the Vale?

I tend to go with Tunstall potter, as a kid growing up in the 1960s I used to go to Stoke a few games a season to see Man Utd,Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal etc. I am and always will be a Vale fan, but you could actually choose to see both teams.........and you just hope that the black and white blood running through your veins can cope with any glory hunters. Loving Vale does not mean you have to hate Stoke

What is so big about having to see 'top level football'. Even if Stoke are relegated and never get back, someone could take their little nit-nesters to another Midland or North West club in the so-called top level.or just watch the greedy lot on sty tv.
