Premiership 16/17 Season

Recommended Posts

Whats all the thick and thin nonsense about? They've had far more success than they deserve, and fans of about 70 of the 92 league clubs are far more 'long-suffering'.

Many will remember when they should have been relegated for the Tevez and Mascharino affair but were let off and Sheffield United sent down instead. They have always had preferential treatment.

Far too many (though not all) of their fans are generally ignorant louts who have a deserved bad reputation. If there really are fans of theirs who have watched for 50+ years, then do us all a favour, them especially, and have them sectioned.

Don't use 'tasty' as a euphemism for 'dangerous, very violent, cretinous and unlawful' either if you don't mind.

A filthy grabbing club run by a man who has been in prison and made a lot of his money from what many see as hard core porn, and supporting the Tories, and many say cost the taxpayer many millions of pounds that could have funded the NHS by getting the stadium in a deal many see as very dubious from his Tory friends.

The rest of his board - the lovely Karren Brady (!) and Gold... no comment.

Come on Dave,I know she's a Tory but have a bit of respect for Baroness Karren Brady,"The First Lady Of Football"?

Weren't you one of those that were also saying Liverpool wouldn't even make the top 4 the season they actually finished runners-up? I take everything you say in this thread with more than a pinch of salt.

You've just completely made that up. Weren't you the one who said you were Bodgers love child and used to eat mushy peas from his belly button? ;)

Happy for you to put your money where your mouth is if you would like to see who is proven right...

On a serious note as I've said many times before since his arrival Liverpool will do well now they have a good/great manager. I think they will do even better when they sort out their keeper/defence long term.

West Ham fans that have stuck with the club for decades and generations thru thick and thin don't deserve that..have issues with the owners and the way its run, with the way they got the new stadium etc but why should the supporters suffer. And yes I know some of them can be a bit 'tasty' (as they might say) but not the old chap who has been going for 50+ years and so on

Completely agree and Vale fans know all too well that a lot of clubs have a lunatic element.

I think Liverpool will win the league under Klopp, but I am 99.9% certain it won't be this season.

On a West Ham note, I went in the away end with a couple of mates to watch them at Old Trafford about 6 weeks ago. They created an excellent atmosphere, loud, passionate but not threatening.

They were the same way back on poll tax riot day in 1990 when we played them at Upton Park..it felt pretty threatening at the time but looking back they were just as you say loud and passionate..just how football fans should be.

He's doesn't seem to like many women' date=' all a bit odd.[/quote']

This is a stupid untrue personal slur, it's just as pathetic as nearlyall your posts are.

Your post is an unprovoked personal attack and will not be ignored.

You dont' say that I don't like many men because I have a go and Sullivan and Gold do you ? No wonder people refer to you in the way they do on here.

Perhaps you'd like to tell us how you have got on with the women in your own family and people can also read your digs at Jacko on here.

I have had the misfortune to meet Karren Brady and in my opinion she is not ladylike in any way, only being interested in her own power and was extremely lacking in social graces of any sort, in my opinion someone to avoid.

I also notice you didn't respond to being called a 'bum-chum' by ToyahW on here recently.

You obviously haven't had the pleasure of meeting her.

I'm sure there are Labour people who are just as objectionable by the way, but it is the current government that have gifted West Ham an almost free stadium at the taxpayers expense.

Not the EPL but another poor display from Liverpool this evening to follow up that they put in against Plymouth. They've looked a bit leggy in the last few weeks and need to get back to how they were quickly with a massive game against United coming up on Sunday. I have to say that Nathan Redmond was an absolute handful all night with his pace and work-rate, and is a player that Klopp would do wonders with.

With that said I still expect Liverpool to go through. But they will need to raise their game massively if they're to beat United on their own turf this weekend.

Also, I think the Titanic could have turned quicker than Emre Can before it met it's demise. He has some quality, but in a team that plays the football Klopp likes to play he just slows everything down. Firmino needs to get his ponytail back asap too, he's been pants since he had his haircut!

I said earlier in the season Beechy that they wouldn't keep their intensity game up.So hard to do for a season in the PL but I thought they'd go beyond January.Spurs will go the same way.

They're having a bit of a lull as does every side, but a couple of games hardly proves you absolutely right. Southampton are a decent side at home with a few good players and if half your side are off their games then you'll come unstuck. As it was Liverpool could have easily lost by more than the one goal this evening, and I wouldn't bet against them putting in a performance at Anfield in a couple of weeks time and completely turning the tie on it's head.
