Game off!!!

When you take the covers off, where do you think the rain goes? I'd be interested to know what all the experts in being a groundsman would do differently to ours.

It's "you're" by the way.

Who cares where the rain go's? Here's an idea...Get twelve volunteers and brush it off the covers or hire a machine which sucks off the water

It's you're is it. Rest assured I will be the first to point out your irrelevant petty spelling mistakes on a football forum .

To correct you it's not "you're" in that context. There...that didn't take long

It is actually but that's not the point. As has been pointed out numerous times on this thread, the pitch is the issue with its clay base. Until that is sorted we will continue to have problems in times of very wet weather. A few years ago we were getting a number of games called off because of waterlogging and the pitch was like a pudding. Some remedial work was done on the pitch two or three years ago which has made it a lot better but not solved the problem totally. Steve Speed has done a wonderful job on limited resources but at times you just have to admit defeat. And if anyone genuinely believes that a Premier League official would be influenced by anyone when the manager and staff clearly wanted to play then I think they are deluded - my apologies if that offends anyone.

If Im being honest this stunk from the first moment I saw it was off. Having been on the pitch before the bury game the pitch was soft but in good nick. It wasnt cut up much after the game and lets be honest we have one of the best groundsmen in the lower leagues our pitch always looks imnaculate.

Now take into consideration the weather yes its rained but no more or no less than anywhere else in the country over the last few days.

Strrange i thought that against Bury half the turnstiles werent open, many missed kick off those that didnt walk away in disgust. Food ran out before half time and there just felt a general malaise around the ground.

Just think the perfect excuse had been found, and I wonder if the the

Ref felt lent on in anyway but not by the players and management because they wanted it played.

I havent even mentioned white vans appearing at the ground in the last few weeks loading stuff up from inside Vale Park.

No excuses needed SotG and, in my opinion, no sabotage tactics are being applied by anyone at Vale Park. The Ref called the game off, his decision and his alone without undue counsel from within the 'Club.

Correct clubs can't influence a referee's decision whose decision it is and Smurf doesn't have a direct line to the big man upstairs to prevent / encourage rainfall.

I wonder why conspiracy theorists would think it would benefit anyone at the club not to have a home game for almost 4 weeks, makes no sense at all.
