Having watched Vale since 1964 I definitely think the gap between us and Sjoke is NOT as big as its as was in the 70's. When they reached those 2 FA Cup semis, Wembley in the League Cup and had Hudson and Greenhoff strutting their stuff we were miles behind. Promotion in 70, Lee leaves 74 and then relegation 78(?). It was that period I felt extremely jealous. Yes, at the mo we are behind and will get left further behind with the money in the Prem League nowadays but I still don't think it is as bad as those 70's days for a Vale fan!

He hasn't made things easy for supporters has he? I understand that, I wanted rid of a lot of them. Is it to the point where I'm not going to go anymore? Nope, the only time things got that bad was the final season of V2001 when I joined the season ticket boycott. Things really, really aren't that bad now and don't even look close to going that way. Unless I'm missing something?

Innis was fantastic when i saw him.

It would be a great addition but i hope we dont throw a lot of weight on very young shoulders.

 

Totally agree. Also need to remember hd is coming back from a bad injury, so may not hit the ground running

To be fair regarding Geo (the cantankerous old swine that he is), I think he's been quite supportive and rational of the chairman throughout the last few days.

 

I'm sure the chairman inwardly is as flummoxed and possibly annoyed as the majority of us in reference to Page's stupid decisions over recent days.
