Retained list?.

I agree with the retained list. Page has offered them all a lot less money. We will then have more money to sign new players. They are solid experienced squad players so if he can get them in cheaply then happy days. I am happy with Williamson and campion as sub strikers if we can get a new one with pope. We have been competitive in every match this season (mostly). We will get innis back now.

Don't forget smurf was willing to put more money in before the Swindon game when we were close to the playoffs. What happened? Fans couldn't be arsed to turn up.

Why insult players with less money. Surely the ones that are wanted should be made a decent offer and those that are felt no to be important should have just been released. Offering a poor deal won't make them better.

I'm sorry Peter but your comments about Smurf are laughable. You don't get fans on board by making promises. Actions speak louder than words and this applies very much in football.

Norman continues to say he has the personal wealth to get the club into the Championship :stopthere:

It has been stated on here on many occasion that l should stay out of football matters and within a few days l am now to step in

It would be wrong of me to comment on Rob's decisions as that would undermine him so l will not be

What l will do is share some facts with you

Last year based on ST sale and previous season gates (ex Wolves) the budget was set at 1.7 ie 60% of Clubs income

I then invested 700k with another 50k after Rob's appointment

Last season our gates were down 20%

I have given Rob the same budget of 1.7M

The difference is l will not be putting another investment having learn't my lesson over the Prem striker episode

I will invest if l see the appetite and/or oppurtunity

Assuming all players accept their terms which they will not there will be circa 400k to do business in the loan market or player acquisition

I can take us to the Championship but without the desire and support will not be doing it alone

I trust this gives you all some insight

All totally fine by me personally. I'm struggling to understand how some people put yesterday's ridiculous decisions down to you in any way.

You've done what people requested in moving away from the football side of the business and leaving it to a football 'expert'.

Personally I feel everyone's pain of the stupid decisions announced yesterday (as I would imagine you do as a fan and possibly sadly will do next season as a chair when Page loses his job thanks to his jobs for the boys when you have to axe him) but the blame and target for this stupidity should be firmly fixed on one person - Rob Page.

The manager you picked has let you down with the uninspiring and lazy retained list. Season ticket sales will be down even further than the numbers you state on the retained list details alone.

The resounding appetite of the majority of the fans was a clean slate. New manager (not one that won 1 game in 11) new coaches and a clear out of deadwood players.

The majority of fans know we won't have a massive budget but trusting a rookie manager with it is a massive risk.

This was a huge lost opportunity to stamp your authority on the club and its future.

More chickens coming home to roost for all connected to pvfc.

Two big problems at pvfc,

1) at the very top, smurf who is so far out of his depth its unreal, he better get some deep pockets because his business is gonna lose a shed load of £££ over summer & next season. He is poison in our club.

2) page & his spin, listening to him is like listening to sinnott & his tactics & choices are as bad as gannons.

Sooner fans unite & put smurf n co in their place the better for pvfc. Said it on day 1, the administrators have a lot to answer for, did they really do any due dilligence??? Ryder? what a *********, wildes n smurf? **** ** ******, smurf on his own? ********.

Do we know the length of the contracts or has it been kept quiet for a reason, Page has probably offered them all 2/3 years!

My question would be who deals with the details in the contracts(wages/length)is this going to be Page or Smurf?

The main problem is Page has left himself no time now if we carry on next season with the same form and team as this season the knives will be out instantly wanting him gone, he has to hit the ground running with wins and failure to do that and it will just be like rewinding back 12 months at least if he had made his own team fans may have given him more time to get it right!

We all know you hate him but this comment is bang out of order.

I stand by it, sick n tired of listening to him...p45 this, new start that, page his own squad, can he actually say what page has done that warrants a two year deal?

Time to go smurf, before it really goes **** up ....oh & when you do sell that means club & GROUND .
