The defence, Veseli and possibly McGivern at left back is **** poor. Wouldn't have Yates or Ribertson near our first team but there are little other options until the summer.

I've heard a few people mention us having two Friday night games running but I remember our Good Friday game last year was an afternoon game, hope this is known or the crowd will be low...:D

Don't think it's Page being a coward - there is just nobody any better to play there. Clearly that is worrying and hopefully will be a priority in the close season.

Pope was cack on Tuesday but wasn't the reason we lost. Shouldn't we be addressing the issue?

 

How does Williamson get such regular football? Did he earn his recall on Tuesday night? We we're actually worse after the changes.

Think that's a bit harsh but where Page has failed is that he has plenty of time to rectify our problems in defence which he hasn't. His signings as a whole have been gash, plenty coming in and going without playing and once again today not one of his signings will be on the pitch.

When Inness came the difference in defence was made for the better and when he was injured and had to go the defence was back to being unsatisfactory.

 

Surely the Port Vale staff know this and the abisimal display against Crawley should have prompted the club to have brought in with some urgency a replacement for Inness.

Im aware of his record...however it would be even better if he wasnt a coward & dropped those very players who are hamstringing the team. Hes had plenty of opportunities to rectify this & failed to everytime.

 

We have a young highly rated left back who cant get a look in, we have a youngster who is highly rated at centre half & hes out on loan...instead of strikers on loan he shouldve gone out & got a replacement for inniss...his constant failure to address the issue at large should worry every vale fan....

 

Yates, Robertson, Duffy, Mcgivern should be gone...in fact only one of any remote promise appears to be versali....

 

Root n branch needed....but im afraid page will keep the nucleus of the defence & thus the same old problem.

Page stated very publically he was going to ring the changes....when it came to the crunch he proved himself a bottle job & made popey a scapegoat.

 

We all know we cant/wont afford keep popey & hes off in summer, but he shouldnt be one of only two changes...plenty of options & opportunity but our coward of a manager chooses keep playing with his boys.

Popey is a decent centre half seen him play their a few times but needs pace around him. Reads game well from the back

If he does keep 3 of them and Dickinson then he's wrong but let's give him summer of his own before resorting to calling him names that make no sense as cowards hide and shy away from making decisions.

 

Whether you like it or not he's not hiding and making decisions, ones I don't particularly agree with but decisions all the same until these players are out of contract.
