Seems like a terrible 1st half in which we didn't show up again lost us the game. Far too many of our players are much too inconsistent.

Missed some great chances and gave 3 dummies in defence with Veseli and Neal.

 

Mid table beckons as we can't beat teams like Crewe.

It's a game with a bigger crowd when we should be impressing- back to small gates again otherwise

Another humiliation at home at the hands of Crewe - a bottom four club who've only scored 10 goals away before today's game yet they manage more shots on target than we do. It's now 8 defeats out of the last 11 at home against them and, to boot, they have done the double over us. When was the last time that happened? Disgraceful. Too many of this squad don't appear to have any fight when it comes to a battle. Cardboard cut outs.

There's only one direction this club is going to go now we have Glover back in a coaching role, and that's DOWN. We need players who are up for a local derby, and im sorry but we need a new management in that's going to make the players play for the club and the fans.

 

Is Page, Glover and Grew the way forward?

Shocking and disgusting everyone bar Neal has let the team and the fans down today. Neal won't be here next season Championship quality that lad is.

 

And the Popey hype he missed a sitter, let's see if he gets slated like any other striker at Vale.

We certainly had enough chances to have gained something from the game but once again we've been too timid with a 14 year old kid in goal for the opposition. Whatever happened to ruffling up a few feathers, elbow to the ribs when he goes up the ball. You just wish in these type of games you could get your boots on and show the boys how to beat teams like Crewe but alas we can't.

To be fair to them they have done very well to get in some quality players like Tate, Ness and Ajose which has given them a strong core.

 

You are right though, we need a big clear out of the inconsistent a like Yates, Robertson, Dickinson, Birchall, Dodds etc in the summer.
