At last Dave someone can see what I clearly can. I am sick to the back teeth of trying to explain why I support Tom it doesn't make me any the less of a Vale fan in fact it shows how much I care about the continued welfare of the club. It makes me think back to what my old ma told me when she said ''It's no good knocking lad if there is no one at home''

I'm really far from sad Mr Hitler. The point is neither Williamson or N'guessan are a patch on Popey because he scores, holds the ball up well, brings other players into the game far better than the presently selected players.

I would be a 'sad man' though if Tom were to leave because I'm sure we wouldn't replace him with anyone as good as he has been over the past three years.

 

I also accept Tom's qualities,as he has more to his game than just popping in a few goals.I commented to surrounding fans during the Sheff.Utd game that Pope would have relished the challenge and probably scored a couple, as the whole occasion was what he thrives on.He will be a massive loss should he move on, but nobody is bigger than the club and that includes EVERYONE;)

I completely agree Cheshire. To me there is absolutely no comparison. It doesn't stop others who seem to wish to make silly comparisons though.
