My point is and was that the spitting is unacceptable and he deserves to be arrested, charged etc but I don't see anything to laugh at in the incident.

Personally I don't laugh at homeless heroin addicts and what their addiction drives them to..but each to their own I guess

 

I agree. Don't know the full facts of course, but the story suggests that he only asked (not stole) for an oatcake--is this such a big offence? Batter mix if it had gone say into his eyes could have been pretty painful! Never thought I'd sound like one of the 'lilly-livered lefty liberals' but in this case (at least on the face of it) a harsh punishment me thinks!

1 Knocking on my door is different to walking into my shop

2 As I've said, I probably would not turn him down

3 The spitting is unacceptable and he deserves charging/punishment for that

4 I still see nothing to laugh at in the incident, which is where this started, that it made the OP laugh..I really can't see what there is to laugh at
