Does tom Pope play for vale just for the money?

 

Will the shops give him food for his family free because he supports vale?... If someone offered him an extra 25K a week would he take it?...He is a fortunate lad getting payed for playing for his team, thats a bonus not a priority... he does a good job too

There is that, but the fact that we only have 7-8 recognised players under contract doesn't help proceedings either. Although, having said that, Darby, Doyle, Reid and Meredith are set to sign new deals apparently - with new signing Gary Liddle set to be announced early next week.

 

In regards to Knott, obviously my knowledge of him is limited, merely because I have never seen the lad play. But on the face of it, it looks a promising signing. He seems to have done relatively well with you last season, and I know your vast majority aren't particularly happy about him joining us, so that's a promising sign too. This signing magnifies our intentions of becoming a younger, more attacking side. So like I've previously said in recent weeks, we won't be that hoofball team you all like to make us out to be anymore.

 

 

You've got a pocket dynamo in Knotty. He came on leaps and bounds whilst with us and really got stuck in. His stamina is in question but a good pre-season and coaching will ensure you have a diamond there and no doubt a sizeable future transfer if he continues his progress. Good luck Knotty, we will miss you at Vale.

You raise a very interesting point.... do we ever sign players that "could" bring a good price if sold... I know we did but is that a consideration now?
