Isn't it 'The Life of Riley'?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Life_of_Riley

...or it could be really Reilly or Reily?

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=live+the+life+of+Reily

Personally, I don't like the concept of capital punishment, if for no other reason than the legal system makes mistakes.

But murder is wrong, killing is not wrong when it is for the right reason.

The young man who carried out this heinous crime needs to be kept in prison for a long time.

What comparison were you making? I said I don't believe in capital punishment. You linked to a story which suggests a prisoner has the life of Reilly. The only conclusion I could draw was that if I didn't agree with capital punishment I must agree with giving prisoners an easy life. It's as though your thought process was I didn't agree with one extreme so my opinion must be the absolute opposite. Which is quite frankly ridiculous.

What then would your ideal punishment be for a killer of thirteen women and the attempted murder of seven more. There's got to be something a bit more severe than what he's currently receiving for £300,000 a year?

That's fine if he does hard labour for 15 years in chains with no electronic equipment and TV etc followed by 5 years worth of rehabilitation. Sadly that won't happen and he will live an easy life.

I don't agree with capital punishment for all things but in the case of pure evil such as this then I do.

I also don't think the case that makes the news over here every day regarding the Bali 9 is newsworthy at all. If you can't do the punishment don't contribute to the mass deaths of Indonesians!

Killing is wrong. It is that simple. To approve of capital punishment is to choose to return to less civilised times. As a great man once said, if everyone believed in an eye for an eye, the whole world would be blind.

So our service men and women, Police and security services personnel are wrong to kill one person to save many more lives then?

Funny that as people were arguing that the use of force, including lethal force against the IS is justified to save innocent people. So its wrong to kill a murderer but its OK to kill someone whose religion we dont agree with?

What about the men who fought against the Nazis and freed the jews from the death camps, loads of Germans were killed during WWII are you saying everyone was wrong to fight against the Nazis? Just let them get on with it then? A strongly worded letter to Hitler possibly?

Still think its simple?
