Plymouth Ticket Stub, - just a thought Norman

If someone has purchased a ST and has to miss some games through work commitments they should still get priority imo.

If a ST holder is ill on the day, it would hardly be fair for them to miss out.

I'm sure these same people would conveniently find away of changing their work commitments if we were to land a visit to Old Trafford.

Don't agree. Someone who bothered to buy a ticket for the less attractive ties against Sailsbury and Plymouth deserves first pick. This is a totally different competition, STs shouldn't be relevant.

But then there are plenty of unattractive league 1 games in mid winter that you'll find ST holders making up a sub 5,000 gate.

A Season Ticket is sold on the strength of it's privileges so I don't think you can ever choose anything else over it.

The same as a one-timer for the Plymouth game just so that they can get a ticket for a 4th round tie then.

A season Ticket is more of a commitment than 1 ticket stub.

They could also offer an incentive of so much off the 4th round draw with your 3rd round ticket stub. Say £5-£10 off because then even if we just get a league 1 or Championship team we will have a healthy gate. That is of course assuming the 4th round game is at home.

The problem with that is that the away team gets a share of the gate so any price reductions or offers are difficult to organise and have to be agreed to by both clubs.

A ST is sold on the strength of giving the buyer the privilege of a seat and discounted admission for 23 Leagues games - that's exactly what you get!

Very true, however the idea is to get people though the gate for Plymouth.

We can draw 11000 K+ as we saw last season, - Launch an incentive scheme for the "maybes" and the crowd will come.

Remember Burton? At least a part of that atmosphere could help push mickey and the boys over the line to a glamour tie in the fourth round, and more importantly a big pay day

A matter of striking a balance between STs who put their money down at the beginning of the season knowing that for various unforeseen reasons they may miss a few games, and also not knowing how the season will turn-out, and regulars who pay game by game. It should be possible using the current ticketing system, with a membership card, to record all games attended, including away games. Games where tickets are in heavy demand such as Crewe away could be given priority for regular away travellers. Big Cup games should not be a problem as away clubs are usually allocated 20%, thus would we need more than 12k at OT or Arsenal? Which would easily cater for our regulars, the rest could queue.

True, but it also demonstrates loyalty to the vale, therefore these people should get first choice

True but the current system is open to abuse like the recent Crewe game where fans who had attended every hone and away fixture couldn't get a ticket because ST holders were allowed to purchase multiple tickets for 'fans' who hadn't been near Vale all season.

Where does it state an ST holder is entitled to priority ticket purchases outside the scope of the 23 league games?

The fact that away tickets go on sale for ST holders first prior to general sale gives it away.

I'd be very surprised if this isn't mentioned in the marketing campaigns in the summer. I generally just buy without reading them but I'm sure this would be listed as an incentive to help shift them.
