Nobody seems to mention Dan Jones as of late. i believe that he is now fit again and we need to have our strongest 11 on the pitch. I know that Dicko is playing well at present, but Jones in my opinion is in our top 5 players at the club and we need to review an opportunity to get him some game time. I thought that after Loft's injury that Mickey may be tempted to put him on the eft ahead of Dicko, or even move Dicko into centre midfield to play alongside Lines.

I know that we are doing well at the moment, but just think that it is a crime to have somebody who finished last season and started this season well sat on the bench and not making a difference. Makes the decision to spend a big chunk of our budget on having two of the best "left backs" in the league a bit odd in my opinion. If the plan was to play Dicko at centre half, maybe its time to give that a go. I know Duffy is playing decent, but we are still conceding daft and silly goals.

Although jones is one of the best crossers of a ball at the club along with Lines, Shuker, and Taylor

Going forward hes great, but as an out and out defender hes not good enough. I think thats why wednesday released him, where as dicko has been promoted to the premiership and played a lot of games in the championship. Its a nice problem to have though given our lack of left footed players in recent years.

So Ben Chorley and Graham Westley both think Stevenage are better than us, and that they should be coming to pick up 3 points.

Their fans are also think they are a bigger club and that we are tinpot, hmm where were Stevenage 4 years ago? When were they formed?

******s I hope MA pins their comments on the dressing room wall.

Could he play midfield?

Dicko has been quality and has to play. If jones is to play it will be left midfield in my opinion.

Typical Westley comment, he's a right **** he is. Hope we smash them, early goal to take the pressure off and then control the game. JMW needs to show Westley that he shouldn't have released him. 3-0 vale. Pope x2 JMW.

Could be the pressure will mount as our profile rises:

Ladbrookes are saying:

This weekend’s League One accumulator highlights the fine work being done by four of the biggest managers in the division with Micky Adams’ Port Vale, Kenny Jackett’s Wolves, Darren Ferguson’s Peterborough and Simon Grayson’s Preston North End all included.

Championship club chairmen and punters alike will no doubt be keeping a close eye on these results, with a bet of £10 on this fantastic foursome bringing returns of £152.73

Just watched their Manager (Westley) being interviewed by local media on the Stevenage Player. Reminds the interviewer he happens to have a good record at Vale Park & feels his players have something to prove (if they want employment next season that is). I suppose he has to be positive & confident but lets hope the Vale do turn up & prove him very wrong come 5pm on Saturday.
