Club Statement: Bradford Match

Memphis

Unless it is offensive, or illegal such as inciting riot or treason, etc.

If you 'heartfelt, honest opinion' is the above post, then you make me ashamed to support the same football club as you.

Carl you really don't get it do you, it's not only illegal it's morally wrong and if you can't see that we really do have problems. Good night and good bye !

Oh my ****ing days.

Just when you thought posts couldn't get any more ridiculous, then up pops Carllllllll, with his pearls of wisdom.

Sweet baby Jesus and the Mary Chain.

I would hope that smurf would have been in contact with the chief constable or vice versa to outline his concerns and that some action would be taken to remove persistent offenders, which might curb the excesses of the rest. It's well in the public domain now so those who persist in dragging the name of the club through the muck hopefully know what to expect.

Its called Double Standards Micky- which is exactly what i was getting at before. I believe in a diverse and equal society in regards peoples freedom, opportunity ect but racism to the set minded minority is the usual stereotyped working class white against Muslims ect and it, in all frankness, t*****es me right off.

In all fairness it wasn't as if the Vale fans in question were throwing bananas or giving one individual player abuse for his colour ect it was general banter that the club in all fairness has over reacted over just to make the club look good for the minority of the do gooders- the same do gooders that stereotype against any young man at the vale wearing a Burberry:mad: cap- it's pathetic.

What has class got to do with this? My background is typical north-eastern working class - my father worked in the shipyards interspersed with periods of unemployment. What does that tell you about my views on racism?? Your assumption that people who hold contrary opinions to you on this issue are middle-class "do gooders" is silly and makes you as guilty of stereotyping as you claim those who contradict you are.

My god we do have some stupid people on here. Thinking freedom of speech is freedom to say anything you want to anyone you want, wherever you want. And even amazed that the term P*** is racist!

The word **** is not a racist word it's just an abbreviation in exactly the same way as Brit is for a British person, Argie for an Argentinian or Pol for Polish etc. Who made this a racist word do you think? It was the Pakistanis themselves out of sheer determination to avoid integration into this country, they want segregation in their own communities. I don't care if someone is black, white or Asian myself I take people as I find them but I do think that in order for a diverse cultural population to coincide peacefully give and take is require on both sides but it seems that we have to tread on egg shells and and bend over backwards and adapt our culture to please them though fear being labelled.

I watched an Only Fools And Horses episode the other night where uncle Albert referred to the "**** in the corner shop" not giving him credit and it didn't come across at all racist, it's just an abbreviation and that's the way it should be. Of course that bit would never be shown now but when exactly did Pakistanis suddenly decide its racist so the whole country has to stop saying it?

Micky, it wasn't a Pakistani who decided it was racist, it was a judge in a court case involving Vale fans at Oldham about 10 years ago. Whether you like it or not, that is the fact of the matter.

When I watched Clark Carlisle's programme about racism in football not long ago I was certain that the problem wasn't as serious as he was making out. I was fuming watching it, as I thought the John Terry case wasn't as clear cut as people were making out. Having read this thread, I admit I was wrong about the size of the problem. Some people are just so set in their ways, so ignorant and uneducated that it's clearly a massive issue. There seriously is no point knocking.

Wow so your saying the reason the whole world decided that word is racist is because a Vale fan shouted it at Oldham? That match must have had more viewers around the globe than Will and Kate's wedding.

I don't know what was sung being at the other end of the ground, but was the racism against an individual or a nation?

Not defending the undefendable and I'm not slow at telling racists to their faces what I think of them.

I simply don't know whether an individual of pakistani origin was targeted or not.
