ah memories, i'll never forget after a visit to the heads office ,six of us accused of unruly behaviour and six of the very best with a split cane standing in a line with fingers under the cold taps, not daring to even sniff in case it would be thought a sign of weakness.those were the days,oh those sadistic teachers, they toughened you up in prep for adult life.

One teacher at high school used to have a nasty habit of throwing the board rubber at our heads and then blame you if you couldn't duck quickly enough.Never mind,it used to sharpen up your reflexes.

Technology isn't the problem. People are. As soon as the latest gizmo hits the shops, millions become reliant on it. We are pathetic as a species. Why is it that people can't do their shopping when their Broadband is down?

Not i, tv free, gizmo free, still don't know what an app is and don't want to, someone said that app was short for application so i said an application was what you filled in when you went for a job and all i got was a blank stare.

Beware technology, it can lose you your job !

Be careful what you post on social media web sites such as Facebook .

There's a certain Staffordshire town where electricity is made, and a week or so ago there was a massive plume of black smoke coming from this particular electricity producers chimney.

This generated a lot of jocular Facebook comments from some of the staff that work there accompanied by a photograph of the offending chimney .

I'm told that a word of warning has been issued to all staff regarding posting "comments" on Facebook about your employer....... Even though apparently the comments were harmless.

Not on Faceache or Fritter, no tv, a phone that does just that, a computer that's slower than bbc reporting but as i'm brassic lint that for me is the cutting edge of tecnology, any comments made are for the delight of the happy band of ovf delinquents young and old...:D
