Don't be ridiculous.

Griff has tried League1 and obviously found wanting.

So has JMW and Pope and they were our two top players last year. the likes of Yates and Mohammed have never played there. It doesn't mean anything. Different players fit different teams. Griff was fantastic when he came back and I'm certain he will be a valuable asset in league one, should we sign him again.

Griff is a player who has developed steadily over a period of years and most teams need one of his type in midfield. He can play at League 1 level in my opinion. I thought when he came back at the end of last season there was some evidence of his League 1 experience in his performances and in the end he was an important part in the final promotion push which was in danger of the wheels coming off for a month or so. He brought back the solidity and resilience needed.

I don't know how you expect people to take this post seriously when you haven't mentioned Barcelona/Messi once.

Popey was played as a target man, the same position that Adams favoured him in until Rico left and his hand was forced.

Popey is a different player now and I don't really rate JMW. Too one-dimensional for me. I hope he proves me wrong.

I would of put him 4th choice behind burge, Morsey & loft last season personally, all this rubish about giving 100% I'm sorry but on £2.5k a week who wouldn't give 100% regardless of the shirt they wear. Big fan off MA but if were signing this type of player for me its a huge Step backwards and imo its a bone idol piece of management.

Each to their own. I'd argue the fact he was voted into the team of the year means he has already proven you wrong.

...he might help us avoid defeat in games, but I can't see him helping us to win games. A very limited player in my opinion, and should only be signed as a squad player.

As for the 100% comments - I'd give 100% too if I played for the Vale (as would many fans) but I still wouldn't be good enough, and neither is Griffith.

As long as he's told not to try to pass the ball more than 5 yards. Fine him every time he shoots. Fine him if he tries a long pass.

I'd like us to sign a midfielder who could both win the ball and use it. Is Ryan Burge still available?

Can't see the big deal with burge. Completely overrated! Doesn't stand out in league 2 so won't cut the mustard in league 1 against far better central midfielders. There are loads of better players out of contract than Ryan Burge. They aren't exactly queuing round the block for him
